    Little Sister's Eyes

Did anyone notice this? I just played through the demo for what must be the 15-20th time and I JUST noticed this. After coming back up the stairs from the restaurant (where the party audio diary is) and dealing with the splicer I then started walking towards the wall with the hole for the little sisters perpendicular to the bathroom entrance. I then saw something really creepy but cool; a little sister's glowing eyes. Maybe I'm blind but I just noticed this and thought it was cool.

Yeah I saw it on my first play through, pretty nifty, I shot an electric bolt at her hoping a big daddy will come, but daddy never came

The lastest trailer that showed on SpikeTv will show how juts how they glow. Before they didn't glow at all, now they have an after image effect. If you turn away fast enough, you'll see an after image of the eye trail across the screen a little bit.

Yeah, it thought they were cool too, although...

In the first trailer it was just a skinny, spooky little girl walking around, now they've changed the eyes and it almost makes her 'less' human. Could this change have something to do with the rating board for 'Bioshock' or something like that? Perhaps the original version was too disturbing -- you know, when you have to kill the poor thing for ADAM? So 2K added the glowing eyes to create that off-worldly, mutant look, so it would be 'less' graphic and disturbing when you've got to snap her little neck further in the game...

It's a theory as good as any, but still, it makes you think. Why did they change the eyes eh!

This is complete speculation on my part, but first of all it may be easier to see while crawling through those vents if you have large, sparkly animal eyes. Secondly, and this is less likely I think, the LS's have somehow been modified to 'see' Adam.

For example, after the PC gains Electrobolt, the LS observes that she can see "light coming from his belly." This may be what happens whenever anyone becomes a user, or it may just be an Electrobolt side effect. On the other hand the Sister doesn't seem to be too surprised by it, and I kind of got the idea she'd seen it before. So, let's say there are corpses littering Rapture, and all of them have a limited amount of genetic material. If two LS's happen by the same body on different occasions, the later girl will end up empty handed, having wasted her time. So perhaps the change to the eyes allows them to differentiate between bodies that have been scavenged and those that haven't?
