    Question Multi-suport compromises/simplification ? (In French)

Hi, i know this forum is an english-speaking place, but i'm french and i have some questions (and my english level is not... apropriate ^^) If someone want to traduct...

Voila, i'ts all for now, sorry for the french langage but i don't speak english verry well

it's a bit weird, but we are one step closer to the secret...

ewww, france french. All I can really do with this is sort out the grammar a bit from the general translation boxy provided.

"""I would like to know if there any compromises made on the level of user interface, compared to what we saw in system shock 2. -not sure about the keyboard/mouse sentence- . And in general if the gameplay was simplified, for example if there will be as many options as was offered in SS2 (modifiable weapons which degrade over time, environmental damage such as radiation or even poison, strengthening of psychological abilities, audio logs, etc..) Because Bioshock is not literally a sequel to System Shock 2, however it is the spirital successor of the game and the specific gameplay of SS2 is what gave the game it's "je ne sais quois" (<-- little anti-translation for you) aswell as the setting itself. However the most recent video of gameplay I've seen for Bx displays more FPS qualities than RPG, many people I'm aware of are concerned with this. 2nd Question.... something about system shock 2 being a cult classic I think, probably wondering if Bx will have the same future.""""

I think everything in there is close enough to the original to have the same intent, and should be a bit easier for folks to read.

Tks a lot Redarf, SS2 don't have a great commercial succes, ok, but he have an "hardcore gamers succes" i'ts a verry apreciate game, then if Irrational simpliffy the game for a larger public, they risk to lost the sympathy of hadcore gamers and gaming magazine (gaming news papers, i don't know the real word ^^), and i'ts not sure the casual gamers interest by this game, simply because it's not a game genre for casual gamers i think.

Excuse my poor english level, love Irrational Game, love Loocking Glass Studio ( ) and love BIOSHOCK ! ^^

I know what you mean, I'm somewhat worried too. There's plenty of crap games for the casuals anyway and if this one will also feel dumbed-down... well, Bioshock is my only hope this year as far as innovation goes and I definitely don't want it to make me feel like a 10 year old. I'm still not over the damn Deus Ex 2 incident with it's insultingly simple approach to everything. There was this "hotel" level or something that basically looked like this: 1 tiny floor with 4 doors and a corridor
    - you enter the level through door nr. 1
    - behind door nr. 2 you get your assignment
    - door nr. 3 hides the item you require to complete your mission
    - you exit the level through door nr. 4

... I mean, why the hell did I bother to play through the whole game ? Anyway, back on topic: I have faith that this time we won't see anything remotely resembling that, cause the X360 is a lot more powerful than it's predecessor. Still, there were signs showing a more mainstream approach during the last months, so who knows what to expect ? We can only try to constantly nag and annoy the devs while it isn't too late, to make Bioshock more grown-up oriented.

100% Ok with you Club Heaven, "emergent gameplay" POWA !

But i want listen that from the developement team, i think release the game for PC AND Console is an horrible thing for the PC verssion, PC player are habitued to complex games, with lot of command and possibility, unfortunatly, the consoles games are more "simple" in many times.

I DON'T want to see an other Deus EX Invisible War ! Simplification are not for this kind of game !
