    Continue the good job!

It will be fun to watch because, I've been trying the legion rush in a good couple of my last h2h match. I've been pure random for a while so I can experiment with different civs. So far, Rome, India, Spain, Germany have been good at it. I'm starting to think that I should try it with Greece too.
I hadn't thought about Greek legion rush, but you could probably have 10+ hammers pretty fast in Athens. Might be worth a try. But with the Greeks, you might want to back that up with Navigation for delivery and pick up Mathematics along the way. Wouldn't a catapult rush (defended by hoplites) be better? I guess you could use both cats and legions.

Glad you liked the episode. I'm hoping to cultivate a reputation as "smartest RevCast co-host" by correctly identifying Erlenmeyer flasks as the means by which science output is measured.

If you've got the hills, then legions work (after construction) if you have a galley to delivery them already. Else, yeah running up to Nav. for the free galleon is good. But then I'd add 1 cat army to 2-3 legion armies. Use the cat's to beat down the tough defenses, then legions for clean up.

I just thought about something listenning to the Cast. Why put a new feature like the scenario editor on the Ipad version. Do you think it could be because they wanted to try this feature to check the feed-back of the community to possibly put it in a upcoming CivRev2...

The show's third production of archived segments, the summary of topics is as follows:

    sounds nice guys!

I randomly checked into the forums tonight for the first time in a few days, and say that dan had just announced the new revcast was out. It's the first one in a while that I didn't know what was in it, and I really enjoyed the listen. Tyshine did a great job for his first episode.

The only thing I was disappointed at was no inclusion of a dominating Stonehenge strategy. Why are you guys holding out on us?

Haha it's fun to listen to you guys. Not that I really learn anything at this point, but it gives me a few laughs.

The only thing I was disappointed in was that you didn't include spies for countering the Colossus! This works best against noob players of course.

It is absolutely hilarious to watch them rage quit once you burn down their library and trading post.

Oh, you just went from 64 science to 16? I'm so sorry! At least you have 1 other city to help you out...

Yes. But a lot of times they tech jump writing straight to COL because they really want that trading post.

That's when you know you have them

Plus, you can get the free spy for getting a tech you need anyways!

I think they are usually more concerned with the trading post rather than being in republic.

In other words, they don't care as long as Thebes is making 1000 science a turn.

Depending upon the knowledge and experience of whose listening, if we're able to inform, entertain, or at least one of the two when it comes to Civ on the show, all is well.

France was the second civ we did. We read your fan mail on that show. Episodes 15 & 16.

How do you get "sheeeen" from "shine"? That's an actual word in English, you know.

Und mein deutsch ist auch nicht so gar güt, aber sprechen geht besser wie schreiben
Of course English shouldn't be that hard to write and talk.

Cool RevCast Bloopers: Season 1, Volume 1

A blast of select mistakes from the past. Then RevCast regular co-hosts Annalee "Cartimandua" Barney, Joe "joebreeves" Reeves and Alexander "Alexander" Strub are joined by four guest panelists through flubs, dubs and other moments gone awry in the show's first of two blooper reels from its first season; it has a runetime of 04m59s.

RC is the second spin-off of the Civ strategy-centric PolyCast; the modding-centric ModCast was the first such spin-off. Unlike either of its older siblings, RevCast has no defined segment categories; its second season is ongoing throughout the 2010 calendar year.

I actually went back and listened to the first few episodes... I think most of them were bloopers! I was laughing a lot at things they were saying.

2% gold for americans being the thing they bring up about them? seriously?

1/2 price barracks for the germans!!@ wt*... ok, one person mentioned the upgrade, but otherwise they seemed all impressed on the 1/2 cost barracks thing.

50% gold production being a good thing to rush units with. apparently they didn't notice the 50% increase in cost!

it just kept going. good times

Dan's the editor and owner of the show. I'm the lead co-host, the guy who invites guests. You may consider the request noted.

Listened to the first 2. It's kind of funny, but makes me want to bang my head against a wall more than anything....I think I'll skip the early ones...

I skipped ahead to the ones with Elthrasher and Grayson. Whew, sanity returns. I'll watch all the strat-related ones.

Any idea when the next episode will be available?

I enjoyed the more recent ones, especially the ones focusing on specific civs. I already knew most of the stuff, but there were some things I didn't know and it's nice to refresh one's memory in any case.

There are certainly a number of CivRev civs left to be given the show's in-depth treatment which will likely be a continual focus. Beyond that, rather than a player's game 'style' specifically, further examination of particular strategies not necessarily tied to a given civ -- that can perhaps be... associated with one or more individuals -- is a definite possibility too.
