Unless they cut it out thats what we said......unless you are finding good gold from huts and tiles then its not a good idea to settle late......I said that almost exactly.....thats pretty much what you are saying....

Edit: After listening we did say that!....so you can agree with everything now.....sweetness.....

Good Episode! I can't wait till I can be on one of these... oh the input I will give. I enjoyed you as co-host Grizz! Everyone had great pointers and agree with most of what I heard... but Multi always have his thoughts on things that conflict with others. Toast... to my upcoming time as a co-host!

Actually I agree come to think of it. I believe it is honor to be on the revcast giving your thoughts, advice or expertise. I don't know if its been like this before but I think one should prove that whatever they methods is concerning civ is worthy. I want to continue to prove myself in these tournaments and hopefully, one day everyone see MULTIPLAYABEAST, RANK NUMBER 1!

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to revcast. Great show, clean, professional. Instead of bumpin' my jams on my way to the gym, I've been absorbing info through your casts! Keep up the good work!

You welcome guys. I have fallen in love with the series - I am still on the first season, but the production & professionalism is spot on! Leaving me with "cravings" for more of the knowledge. I look forward to the other 2 seasons.

By the way fellas, I don't know if this has been asked before, and I apologize if it has.

If you get a chance to interview firaxis about Civ Rev 2:
May you kindly ask them if they plan on providing us with more diplomatic avenues? possibly get the AI to send over troops in your defense if you decide to sign a pact/treaty with them and need they're help with one of your wars.
Open borders? Is it possible to have real speaking counselors. Lol.

    For iPhone/iPad/Android:
These iOS/Android devices have strong computing power now, close enough to consoles - can we get a "direct" port of the Xbox 360/PS3 Civilization Revolution "modified" for touch screen. This 2-D sprite version we have now is wonderful, but my iPad 3 can definitely handle Xbox 360 civilization revolution graphics, interface - of course, adjusted for touch control.

If this gets through, thank you!

Yeah this podcast's quality has been improving and improving. If you compare the latest episode with the first one it's a sharp contrast.

BTW odion don't want to disappoint you but there are currently no plans on civ rev 2 so asking about specifics would be fruitless. It's always nice to speculate though.

  19. #459
    @ Hydro

Gotcha! Too bad, I'll just stay on the look out for any new info.

Well, I hope they at least look into direct porting a copy of the Xbox360 version over to my iPad 3 (with multiplayer). I would be in bliss. If you are reading firaxes devs, I am willing to dish out $30 (or more) for such an app. I am sure I am not alone on this.

    Back on topic:
On my way to gym. Revcast group.. Do you guys have mp3 files of your show? Would like to download it onto my iPod. Thanks.

@ ManaCarta - I know right? Same here.

Fellas is the RevCast site down?
It's not loading up, I have been listening to it for the last week & half here on my iPhone, now, not working.
I've rebooted my iPhone. Closed & relaunched the safari app, still not working.

By the way, on my iPhone right now typing this and all other sites I am visiting are working fine. Which leads me to believe it must be RevCast. I am missing out on my fix, please help. 10:51pm Central Time

    *edit*
6:16am central time, going to gym, still not working. Sigh.

I'm not certain when service was restored to the server hosting RevCast, but it was some time today.

In short, the site is back online.

Cool RevCast Episode 40: "The Nitty Gritty"

Straight to the heart of the matter. - 02m19s | Topic #1
An update on a number of tournaments recently concluded, in-progress and up-and-coming for Civilization: Revolution.
    - 05m00s | Topic #2
The good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to Wonders of the World in the game throughout all its eras.
    - 21m58s | Topic #3
Reflecting on the continued draw and future prospect for CivRev's longevity in the video gaming community.

Oracle sucks! I attacked for over 20 turns against a Zulu AA 9-12 with 5 LA's and a HA after starting on an island as Egypt! I'm not joking, over 20 turns 9-12 5+ times per turn and not one time!

Sometimes the oracle is broken and will not allow you to win any attack, even with a large advantage (not sure about overruns). When it becomes evident that it is acting up the only thing you can do is quit, or tech religion (then sell to AI). I experienced a broken Oracle maybe 5 times.

I think you may need to attack somthing else in that case to change the seed. ideally somthing weak that wont also reject your attack.
Unless you have the red X that tyshine mentioned - in that case give up on taking the city.

I didn't notice a red X and I finally was able to attack right around 20+ turns and when I saw it was only 12 defense I realized how much the oracles sucks...

Good job guys (or gays?). Always a joy to listen to ur intelligent talk.

Btw. Hate the oracle. Big game changer the wrong way.... Bringing 5 tank armys and can not attack a city with 60 in defence. I played a lot of Egypt and know that feeling to well.

    Keep up the good work.

Well if you can tech tanks(I don't remeber which tech since I rarely used tanks) then surely you can tech religion. Unless there are no AIs left and he is careful about not backfilling or teching it himself there shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, it's totally weird to be at tanks and nobody has Religion. Like I always say, if the Oracle is bugging out on you, it's because you aren't paying proper respect to the mario gods.
