Everyone who wants to get in on some Revcast action - its pretty easy.
You just need to get Skype to get started and add me
ScottieX
then we will hold X-FACTOR style auditions
But more seriously - get skype and put aside an hour or 1.5 hours for a bit of a chat about Civ.
Skype is free and its easy to set up.
Dont worry if you dont think you have much to say or whatever, you dont need to be the best civ player ever (Thrasher has that covered) just something interesting to add to the conversation even if it isnt directly about civ strategy - for example im interested to have some of the old players that are restarting now to talk about how the game has changed - ie if the noobs are better or worse - if freezing is better or worse and all that sort of thing.
Also some of the less experienced players might be interesting as a foil for asking some of the questions that thrasher and I might not think to ask.
Or to get a funny bleep when talking about the really best way to competitively use a civ
(which I don't do of course)
So apply now! fame and fortune or your money back!

Darn, I'd have loved to participate but had no time.... and it's about my favorite civ!!!
Impressive that you made it as interesting as usual with just the two of you, nice job....
If the civ is decent, I'll be willing to participate
Or if we've had all of them... why not a global tactic talk?
-Head to head starts, general map-discovery, how to put up a rush (your cat rush comes to mind!), ...
-Free for all: analysing threats and the importance of agression and anticipation, ...
-Teams: differences in game-mechanics and how to (ab-) use it
-Singleplayer: how to be a "pro" on deity
-...
Anyways, my exams are coming up in 2 weeks from now, so I think it might be something for the end of december...![]()
You haven't talk about Ghost strategy? It was the best so far http://forums.2kgames.com/showthread...ht=ghost+roman

As first noted earlier today with the release of the 2011 PolyCast Christmas Special, RevCast has been renewed for a 6-episode Season 4 in 2012 beginning in February.
I was listening to episode 18 and I thought I heard a woman moderating one of the topics.
Ive been trying to get a woman on....
I figured the civ revers would find that interestingbut she keeps saying she isnt good enough (despite actually being reasonably good).
You did indeed.Annalee "Cartimandua" Barney was one of the original co-hosts of RevCast, and indeed its lead co-host, for its first six episodes. Episode 18 was a composite of archived topics from previous recordings, and one of them -- [which of the CivRev console platform releases is generally preferred -- was from the first episode.
I guess you'll have to keep reminding her that RC is open to CivRev players of all playstyles, preferences and experiences.
have you heard from thrasher mr DanQ hes been m.i.a for awhile now....just wondered if you hada email from him lately

Agree with most of this, but some civs can do fairly well settling late as long as they name some tiles and friendlies. Spain or Japan can settle late and not get any caps or barbs and still do well. I have done it several times.
