Dr Suchongs death...Our 1st BD fault?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up but i just thought about the audio diary when you hear Dr Suchong be killed. He's saying in the diary that he can't get the BD to protect the LS but then it kills him when he slaps her.
My first though was that this could possibly be our 2nd games main player but then i thought that Dr Suchong would have had to have created the less able BD than the one we play but then our BD can protect and bond with the LS in the new game.
Was just wondering what everyone else thought...
