While it would be nice in ways, you can't just leave the poor to fester for themselves like that. Not everyone is born into a rich family, and while some poor work hard, they'll never achieve the riches that is required to be on the good side of her philosophy.
Off the top of my head I can name Lord Sugar one of the wealthiest and most influtiential men in britian and he started off with nothing. There are many people who have transcended the economical class's and while I do not wish to see people die I also do not see why others should have to pay for thier incompatance, those who have earned thier keep should not have to give it to those that dont. Income tax is a wonderful example of the Alturistic state the more you earn the more must be taken away from you to give to those who have earned nothing.
Not everyone can do that though. Some can, but not everyone is that lucky. And while we shouldn't have to pay for other's incompetence, could you really just sit there and watch those people rot because they don't know what to do? They are unskilled and poor for a reason, usually. And some times it isn't their fault.
This isn't the place to talk about this, though.
