Telephone Easter Egg perhaps? Let's test it out.

In the demo, when entering Kashmir Restaurant and going over to the first bathrooms you'll notice 3 red phones. On these phones is a plaque labeled: Local Calls. There are 3 numbers below it corresponding to Operator, Security, and Medical.

    Operator:879-0843
    Security: 980-9804
    Medical: 809-2309

I punched the numbers into my phone and called it. Some guy answered but I got scared and hung up. There is no area code(that makes a big difference), but someone in my original topic suggested that we use one of Bostons area codes. "Local" calls and the developer is 2k Boston...could be could be.

Im too scared to even dare to do it. So if anyone who lives in Boston and knows some area codes....try it please lol.

Grrr for no edit. I just thought that we could find out where the 2K Boston building is located and take that area code and use it for the phone numbers. <_< Someone do it, me scared.

    Operator: Doesn't exist.
Security: No answer, but the number does exist. Interesting...
Medical: "Call could not be complete."

I used the 617 are code.

You should have asked her, "Is this medical?"

Haha, I don't have the balls to do so.

You watch, that's probably the secret message you have to give her to win a million dollars in "Call the telephone number's in BioShock contest!"

You know, if everyone starts calling those numbers, she'll get pissed.

Well, the "medical" number doesn't work at all. :|

Guys I may have another clue. Ok there is that plaque with the 3 #'s, but imprinted on the front dialing wheel is the number 1948.

    Perhaps...it means...1-948-*insert number*????

    Skype's never failed me before.

Anyway, I called the security number and said some Bioshock related stuff to the answering machine, but sadly I don't want to post the recording because my voice hasn't deepened yet so I sound very young when I'm really 14.

I tried it but Skype had an "internal error". I'll restart Skype and try again. I did the operator number, btw.

    Lol, nice.
I'll call those numbers later. When I have free long-distance.

I'm using Skype, which is untraceable (I use it a lot for prank calls) to do the call. I don't want anyone calling my house :P

That's why you dial *67 in front of any number you dial, it'll come up as "Private Call." on caller ID.

So did you try all of the numbers? My mistake, it was the operator number I called with the 617 are code, not the medical.

Try area code 1-948. The number 1948 is imprinted on the front of the dialing wheel of the phone. Could be the year it was made...could be the area code..<_< Mr Skype man try it! WOooo!

Indeed. There's bound to be some type of easter egg correlated with those numbers.

Lol, but that's still traceable if I piss someone off enough. Also it costs money from my phone provider.

Anyway, sorry for bringing this off topic. Lol.

I called security, with the 617 code, they replied "No this is not security, I don't know who you are, do not call this number!"

    Next time someone picks up/answers
    tell them whats going on

"Hello, I'm going to warn you that your phone number is featured in a new popular video game, and might be prank called continuesley in the near future. I advise changing the number, screening your calls, or getting caller ID."

    type of thing
