After reading all of these things in a magazine about the last 3 words will spoil the game and that you look at your wrench in a whole new way...I think I just spoiled the ending of those 3 words to myself. I have also read the great chain topic which makes me think you were there before so I think I spoiled the ending for myself by thinking that the last 3 words are "You built Rapture!" seeing as how you have the chains on your wrist and it's like you built rapture but are now back to tear it down or something.

I read it, and I'm doubting it. If you really built it yourself how does that explain the plane crash? Unless the present was a bomb.

But that wouldn't show why you hadn't experience plasmids before, and all that stuff.

It is SO going to be one of those story lines where once it ends and they explain all, you'll be like "OMG, I'm so dumb, it was right there in front of my face!"

I love those kind of stories....sharpens the mind. :P

It will have subtle (and maybe some not so subtle) hints along the way, the wrench being one of them, if in fact your theory is correct...and it sounds VERY reasonable, borderline likely.

eh..if he really had built it and/or been on the building team. then why would andrew ryan accuse him of being kgb/cia?

if your theory is in fact true then wouldnt that mean that Ryan didnt actually create rapture, possibly stole the credit from jack?and if thats the case then the only reason for ryan not to suspect jack is if ryan thought that jack died or could never return to rapture

whatever the case is, the intro is the key to the truth is probably in the introduction, it seems like they cut it up to give you the bare minimums into comprehending the small fraction of the game. since its a demo, why would they want to give you the plot? their bread and butter and hype

At first, I thought he was pissed a magazine spoiled the ending for him, then he came on here saying how he was pissed then he said what the ending was, like an ironic twist. I thought it was wierd to be pissed about something but to post the very thing you were pissed at.

Then I just reread it and realised it's what he THOUGHT the ending was.

It wasn't the biggest mistake of your life. I read a tiny spoiler and was a little disturbed, but it was something I would have figured out having played System Shock 2.

Don't read below if you haven't finished:

Someone had posted here with the subject line "Atlas is the bad guy!" and I was like...well...that's to be expected as it's like Polito in SS2. That's such a good plot twist to subvert the guide character.

I will say the game is so good because when the bathysphere blew allegedly with his wife and kid inside I actually was like, "Screw that, I'm on his side anyway." So the "would you kindly" reveal and scene with Ryan still had my jaw on the floor.

So it wasn't so much a spoiler to say "Atlas is the bad guy", I still didn't know he was the *other* guy.
