Need <save> or <reconnect> option for Game of the Week!!!

I'm not sure if anyone else has run into this one, and nothing seemed to come up on a search, but I have to imagine this has happened to more than just me.

I love playing the game of the week for Civ Revolutions on the PS3, but I can almost never make it through a whole game because the network connection drops off and the game is instantly ended.

Is there anyway the programmers might be able to add in a save command, or at least an option to reconnect instead of just instantly killing the game? There's not much out there quite so frustrating as getting an hour or two into a game and having it dump - sometimes only a few turns from a victory.

I've had to stop playing the GotW but would really like to do it again sometime.

Please consider programming in a fix.

i have felt your pain, albeit only a few times out of many gotw efforts. unfortunately they won't be changing it. if they did anything to this game before fixing intentional freezes in mp the natives would get (more) restless. if it keeps happening it just may be your connection isn't optimal for this. is it a wireless one?

it's the PSN connectivity issues. happens a lot to me between 11:30pm - 12:30 am and very randomly during the rest of the day.

it's not the games fault, but the GoTW is meant to be safe from mass save/reload usage.

Oh I know it's the connection and the PSN part that's causing the dropouts, but if there were an option at least to reconnect that would be kind of polite. Or even just an option to download the GotW as a scenario to only play at home.
Someone is going through the trouble to build a new GotW every week, so the shop isn't completely closed up for development. And I can't imagine it would take more than a couple hours for a programmer to drop in a reconnect option when the code is already written to pop up a connection prompt when I first select the GotW option in the menu.

I know game freezes are a bigger deal, but they are also a much more intensive process to track down and fix.
This one should be really easy.

And if it's a question of money then why not make a downloadable GotW scenario that's setup as a one-off purchase or maybe a subscription?

This is a 20 year-old franchise and many of us are on our second, third, or more version of the game, and are likely to buy the next version when it comes along. It's just sound business practice to take care of your most loyal customers - and I figure those are the ones who show up to play the online versions, multiplayer, GotW, etc.

There should be a save one time option for game of the week for this kinda stuff happening, only able to do it once though.
