That looks like a standard suit sorta...
In gameinformer's april issue, it said that they're using a Rosie as a placeholder, but you'll look different than any other BD's once the game ships.
No, it didn't. Nothing about how you would really look. Just that the Rosie was a placeholder.
True, but they did say you're a completely unique version of a Big Daddy, not as slow or heavily armored, so it's not too far of a stretch to extrapolate, from that, that you won't look like the Bouncer or Rosie, as they *are* heavily armored.
It said you were lighter. You do understand that you are still made from a diving suit. You should look like one of the other kind of Big Daddys, with only minor differences in the overall appearance.
i just hope you don't look like the bouncer. he's a cool enemy, but head is too big and bulky. it just wouldn't fit, so i figure if your gonna be the 1st BD it would look like a regular diver.

If im correct, that's what your answer
As you don't read, you are wrong. On that point, I'm not explaining why, read around the topic. I will be back in probably 10 hours...
Don't worry. It isn't the final version. Dax failed to notice that was only the placeholder model.
wow, seeing as you are basically a regular Rosie, i really hope 2k changes the character design, REALLY hope.
You look way slimmer and smaller.
how can you tell?
also, i want a more unique helmet. it's a good thing it's just a placeholder design.
Well i think we'll be a hybrid between Rosie, Bouncer and Jack![]()
To me it looks slimmer and whatnot cause you dont see your shoulder and rest of body so easily. If you were to see the same part of a reg BD I would think you could see more just do to the bulk. But maybe I'm just seeing things-lol.
I thought the pic in the magazine was the place holder and that was you in front of a mirror--this is from the video and you are looking into a pool of water
As I've said over any over, the picture and gameplay you see was from the GameInformer interview, before they had the model ready. Even if they finished the model by now, that's old gameplay, and you'll have to wait for...new gameplay.
A mirror and a puddle of water are to completly different things...
Actually, you can jump into both, it's just that one hurts like he...you know what I mean.![]()
I personally don't think that's a reflection, but rather, you waking up and finding your helmet there, as you weren't wearing it at the moment.
But I'm pretty sure that's still a placeholder.
Still placeholder, though. They should make that gameplay into the demo...
By the way your glove looks (Megaman)... I'd almost expect the Prototype to look more similar to the Big Sister than to Bouncers or Rosies. By that I mean, she looks almost futuristic, as does your glove, drill, etc (Compared to other Big Daddies, I mean)
To speculate a little further, if you notice in the gameplay video, when your "Flashlight" turns on, it's just a big circle, and in the GI article, it mentions your faceplate thing acting as a flashlight, so one could assume that your helmet is more similar to a Rosie than to a Bouncer.
However, I'm expecting a new, cooler looking model.
The gloves look normal, the drill is prototype-edition. Considering it's the FIRST and not the last Big Daddy, looking "futuristic" is no where near it's description. The Big Sister, herself, is not futuristic, it's just a suit.
The Big Daddy's eyes were never described to be the flashlight themselves. The flashlight is most likely separately attached to the top of the helmet. Even if the flashlight was your eyes, the eye's themselves would cast a colored glow.
I have no opinion about what our prototype Big Daddy will look like, i hope they'll keep his appearance secret until the game is released. So that i'll have the surprise by playing the game.
Moreover i think your character design is not so important in a fps as it is in any other game where you see the character from a third personn perspective.
It's a plus if it's well made but as you'll see yourself just sometimes, it's not a big deal to me, i won't spend ages staring at myself in water pools or mirrors.
In a recent interview with 2k they showed little clips from the game and one of the showed your reflection in the water and it was a rosie helmet so I think it is a rosie.
ya i guess. idk, i am actually okay with being a rosie, but 2k will develop something new, and i bet we will be blown away by it, or we will be disgusted with it
Personally im leaning towards a body frame not quite as skinny as the BS but also not as big as the rosies or bouncers.
If they had to simplify the others then im guessing it would resemble something like a semi thick body brace attached to a slick, baggy deep sea metal padded diving suit with tubing all over the body, dunno about the helm tho.
Anyways thats just what i picture
The more that time passes, the more I feel we'll be a variant of the Rosie. It makes most sense for being able to see 20-20. Although, perhaps, you'll have the ability to change the suit at some point in the game. Or, at least, in multiplayer.
Lets see...I'll say Rosie.![]()
Imagine that the Big Sister uses her control to make Splicers kill any Rosies (in groups, of course) To keep you down. It could explain the Big Daddy corpse in the gameplay trailer. (The dark area before you see the Big Sister, there's a Rosie corpse in the corner.)
