Trying to run civIV;Warlords-Gold edition after a restore I receive an error "Failed Initializing Python" and CivIV doesn't run. Any ideas here?

run windows update first maybe you are missing a update if that fails download and install direct X From internet somewhere and then try reinstall civ

also make sure youre graphics driver is upto date!

Thanks, did all but still getting the same failure. And when I try to uninstall, I get the same error...

well you may find a answer at www.civfanatics.com not many people visit this place for civ related stuff much since firaxis nerfed up bts patch 3.17
