    PLEASE!! No forced Co-op, PLEASE!!

Hello 2k forums and 2k staff,

I'm enamoured with Bioshock, it's my favorite 360 game and it's probably on my top 3 shooter list along with Metroid Prime, and Half Life 2.

I love the idea of co-op, but I don't like playing the single player campaign with an incompetent AI partner. Resident Evil 5 proved this concept is irritating and frustrating.

One of the things I loved about the first Bioshock is that it was you against the world, you being alone in a completelly hostile environment was exciting and scary at the same time.

So please, If you're going to have co-op, make it like Fable II, where the second character is not related to the story, has it's own weapons and experience.

Thanks for reading and keep making great games, Bioshock II sounds amazing so far

    -Sant

I agree that it would suck to have a forced partner, imagine bioshock with a buddy next to you all the time, would take alot of the scaryness and the feeling of being alone away i think. anyways i dont think it will be like RE5 it will be like bioshock 1, thats my guess

Also, one of the best things about the first Bioshock was that you could tackle enemies, obstacles, in a lot of different ways, you could be stealthy, you could set traps, you could make your enemies kill each other, you could use plasmids, you could use weapons, etc...

Having an AI partner would kill all this, you would try to be stealthy, but he would come over shooting and blow your cover, I don't see it work. Bioshock is a one man show! Now, co-op with a friend, it could get interesting because you could communicate, but I see it only as optional feature.

Co-op is fine as long as it's optional...

Im confused about all the uproar.
In my knowledge i only know of Resident Evil 5 as a 'play single player and there's an AI partner' (i believe thats the technical term) game. So i don't know, especially after critical reviews of this set up, why any other HINT at co-op would mean theres forced co-op.

I don't like the ide of an AI co-op too , the game has another feeling just to be on your own in that underwater city is really cool, maybe if the 2 characters take separate ways and just find them selves in some points through the game ,well the only thing we can do is wait cause i don't thing developers would change what they already have in mind for some complaints

This needs to be heard because we are the paying customer who will buy this game. Coop doesn't fit a FPS/RPG like Bioshock. I highly doubt that Bioshock would be what it is today if it had AI coop.

I really dont like the idea of co-op in bioshock
one reason is the scarynes wont work because one of the characters will be looking the wrong way or your talking to someone and you cant hear the scary enviorment noise

This is why I hate multiplayer.
    No MP achievements or anything.
Give me a single player with a story, that alot of what made Bioshock so good.
