I bought the game via digital download from the NVidia store. I can play the game just fine but I can't install the patch, either from the link above or through the game. The error says that the game isn't installed.

Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem. I bought the game online and I can't get the patch to install. It says that the game is not installed on my computer. Anyone else has the same problem?
