I hope Bioshock 2 is more challenging...

I had BioShock for the PS3 and thought Survivor mode for the first couple levels were great (up to Neptune's Bounty). Then, like the easier settings, the game's difficulty went downhill.

It is still one of my all time favorite games, but I thought it was a bit too easy and unbalanced as gun became irrelevant aside from the Shotgun, Crossbow and Grenade Launcher and the Wrench/Electro Bolt became by far the most effecient way to take out splicers.

Hopefully this address some of these

Maybe they could make a tonic that makes splicers immune to electricity on the higher levels...like their bodies conduct the electricity to make EVE... like a spliced-up electric eel. I don't know if that's scientifically plausible, just an idea.

I hope so too. I think BioShock is a little too easy on Hard mode. Haven't played Survivor mode, but I wish it was a bit more challenging. Hopefully Bioshock 2 is.

Just a thought, if this is a prequel than we aren't fully sure on the time period we will be playing in. Big Daddies, little sisters and splicers weren't there from the beginning of Rapture, right? So we maybe faced with a different and more challenging enemy, perhaps it will be humans VS humans as they discover the powers and potential of Adam but aren't fully transformers into the horrific image of a splicer yet.

Maybe we could be playing the part of a female lead? That's only a bland assumption from the BSOD trailer but that would be rather interesting, we morally had to choose as a man what to do in Rapture, why not flip it and make us choose as a woman. On the point of that i wouldn't mind the game being more morally challenging and personal, say you kill a splicer which has a family in the most chaotic sense, what does this do to the family? do they hunt you down?
