Can´t play online

[Beginner]

Hi Guys,

it´s not possible for me to play a mulitplayer game. My brother invites me and i invite him, but anytime there is an error.

do i have to prepare my network in a special way or someting ?

i can´t play against other people in the net. The single-player-mode works fine.

All the other games are working properly in online-mode. Just Civilization makes problems.

please help me :-)

i have found a way myself...

i connected the ps3 directly to the modem (no router).
now it works.
