[I kill splicers]

I have been playing bioshock on ps3 for a couple of weeks and I am stuck in rapture records! I cannot get the metal door to the crawlspace off, no matter what I use. someone please help me, I am gettin irritated!

hmmmm that's when you're looking for Cobbs?? , can't rememeber the places name but there's a hole that opens when you trigger an explosion, there's a body when you aproach you hear a sound and then explodes that opens a hole or a vent, can't check cause i dont have a nearby save sorry

I just played that part. It should open up after the guy blows up.

you jump down to a lower part of the store and there is a dead guy in a chair and he will blow up and then the crawl space will open up and you can go through

same problem but playing on 360 - the grate simply wont open and nothing is happening. I'll lose about an hour of gameplay if I reload ugh; makes me want to just quit.

Read about at least one other person who had the same problem.

I think the problem might have been that I brough a hypnotized big daddy into the room with me. Maybe he killed Cobb too soon?

I also brought a BD the first time and nothing strange happened, so i don't think that's the problem, the guy in the chair should explode when you aproach and that should open the crawlspace, if you're stuck and the guy doesn't explode then maybe is some kind of glitch try killing yourself and respawn in a Vita Chamber

Killing myself fixed the problem for me. I respawned and Big Daddy was fighting Cobb right in front of the Vita chamber. I actually just watched as BD killed him and then finished of BD to rescue the LS.

I guess Cobb left that room to fight BD?

It was kinda hard killing myself as I have the immunity boost that protects me from my own grenades. I had to use trap bolts.
