They talk more about the trailer and give us some info about the characters.
cool...really cool relevant info...mmm lets see:
we know that...
-The fuc/&%/ing detective will appear in the middle of the game just to give real problems to Vito
-They have an idea of making street races (just like i suspected)
-Henry Tomasino and Eddie Scarpa are from different families aaaand they have an important paper in each family....
-both of them will probably will have a crash between the families ....Vito will have to make an important desition....choose wich family should he go.
-cars are fully destructible and it will look awesome( we already knew that but who cares?.)
-The city will look more fu(&/ing awesome that we thoughted (many of the developers have been said that they are really proud of the city) good work guys
Basically what it says in better wording^^^^
- This church was created specifically for the trailer, but it remains to be seen if it will make it into the final game. We do have a church in the game's script, but whether it's the big cathedral seen in this trailer or a smaller church, that is something for the programmers to tell us. If it doesn't fit into memory, we have to scale it down or remove it...unfortantly...
- One of the characters that you see in the montage is the detective. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just say that he shows up about half way through the game and ruins all of Vito's fun.
-"Joe Barbaro quite possibly the single greatest videogame character ever created" according to the developers
-in Mafia II, and we're toying with the idea of allowing the player to race them against other drivers. Maybe for money, maybe for pink slips, we'll see
- Our cars are fully destructible. All the cars in Mafia II behave and deform realistically. If you hit something, you'll damage your car. You can then have it fixed up at one of the body shops located throughout the city, or you can continue to damage it until it's no longer drivable
-The developers are very proud of the city created for Mafia II, there goal was to make the city feel alive and they believe they hit it out of the ball park!
-There will time in the game when you meet Eddie Scarpa, a capo from another family. "That's when things really get interesting"
----------------------------
Just proves that the team is still working on the game (ie: the race idea, the church, exct...)
Nice info either way:P
there are spoilers in the article...minor but still spoilers :S (damn you IGN!)
the "tomassino,scarpa and detective" stuff![]()
is very minor but do agree with you, I really don't want to know what happens, guess the answer is to stay away from previews, but it's not easy....![]()
we all knew it since we watched the trailer
races? this is no car game? but oh well
So, the last name of Eddie is Scarpa, huh?
From what I knew, Scarpa was an Sicilian for 'Shoe'. I don't know this is a surname or a nickname. But that's cool.
It's an old article was released after the second trailer :
