patches via PC - help

Hi.

Can the patches be downloaded via my PC onto USB? I cannot get internet access via my PS3 as i live in a jungle and the closest connection is 7 miles away. I cannot physically carry my flat screen tv that far!!!

Sorry, but I don't think this is possible. It appears that Sony will only allow patches to be installed via the Internet. This is probably a measure to help stop piracy.

Looks like you're going to have a long trip with your TV, unless you know of someone with an internet connection and an appropriate TV.

or you could just bring the ps3, make sure the autorun feature is on. then put in the dvd and wait an hour untill you are sure its patched, you might need to press x once in a while to get it moving. you dont really need a tv to patch, though it would surely make it smoother

Its a shame that i cannot patch via USB memory stick.

The idea about taking the PS3 without a TV is one that i have considered, but not one i like the sound of!

I wonder if there is some sort of PAL port i can buy for my laptop so i can plug it in?
