Witch victory gives you more points

Does anyone know which victory gives you more points in ranked games?

    Yes, the fastest one, domination.

It doesn't depend on the victory, only on the year you win and who is your enemy.

What? The earlier, the better? No wonder then if I loose so many points with freezings at 4000 BC.

That rule sux. Well, the all MP with the PS3 sux. But that's an old story.

I don't know if depends on the earlier or the opposite. The manual doesn't say it

Actually I can't really say. The leaberboards are so messed up when it freezes/disconnects that I can't find a pattern. For example I had 3 disconnections in a row (where it said I won), the first made me loose 32 points and then, still giving me the other 2 losses it didn't take out any point.

Actually, I think you get more points if your game goes longer, or if you have a win other than domination. My high point game on ranked FFA (PS3) was something like 37,000 points, and I distinctly remember that it was a tech vic that came near the 2100 AD cut-off (It was a good game with similarly skilled players and lots of nail-biting action).

You could probably assess this points issue pretty easily by comparing the "highest score" games of those on the leaderboard. If most of the Zulu player high scores are lower than the scores of players who use other civs, and assuming that most Zulu players go for an early domination vic (a reasonable assumption), then it is likely that a short domination game does not award as many points as a longer (or perhaps non-domination) victory.

I always chek my points after each game and I think that only the rating of each player counts.

When playing teams and I think that the game takes in consideration the averege rating of each team. So if you win with a noob on your team you get more points than playing with a top ranked.

When playing against noobs I always get 3 or 4 points no matter how long the game takes.

is there a way to know the rating/rank of your opponent in the lobby before you begin playing?

and is there a way to search for people you have just played in the leaderboards without them being your friend?

I would like to see it. No for both of your questions.. I would like to know the ranks of my enemies than I would play more times good players. I don't like to play against noobs. Usually they use zulu or it's a new account

I was always under the assumption that your points are based on your own point total vs your opponents point total with some kind of formula.

If you mean the points that go to in-game rank and histograph, you get more points for a tech victory because the system is based on population, cities, tech/gold/cultural milestones, wonders etc. Naturally the longest game gives the most points.
