Do you think they are going to stick to the release dates or will the game be delayed?
Do you think they are going to stick to the release dates or will the game be delayed?
It's only a couple weeks away, I doubt they'll delay it.
The only way a game would be delayed this close to release is if it can't pass certification. The only realistic way for that to happen is if it is nearly unplayable or VERY buggy. I think that happened with Morrowind and it is probably the reason for the Lair delay. But with several reviews already out, I doubt it is possible for it to be delayed.
There hasn't been any indication that Bioshock will be delayed. Nobody mentioned the need of more time for tweaking, there are not technical problems stated.
Instead, Take 2/2K Games has expressed that Bioshock is (still) a very important title, after GTA IV got delayed.
And don't forget multiple review versions, the press has received.
Not sure if the press recived review versions.
The swedish PC Gamer had to go to London earlier this week to play Bioshock there for a few days for their review. Appearantly some other 2K game was recently leaked and they didn't want send out copies until the leak is found.
Granted, this may only apply to Europe/Scandinavia/Sweden or something.
I don't think this game will be delayed anymore. If it was I'm sure we would of heard about it by now!
People at 2K have said that August 21st and 24th have been set in stone. Multiple times...
People people ohhhh people! The same company ownes or is a stakeholder in Irrational as Rockstar, the obvious answer is, they looked at the figures and the hype and said, ok..... We have Bioshock, which people are going to GOBBLE and buy, v.s. Halo 3, lets put OUR shooter against Bungie, see how it goes and we will do BETTER then EVER projected. Ken Levine has pulled a Peter Molenyeux and hyped it up so damn much, subtly I might add but, this will be the "fable" of shooters and with good cause. I think, they may have pulled off a lot of their lofty promises (pshhht, to say your better then Half life and all these shooters we have been playing are """"Cliches""") is a pretty ambitious, COCKY, and tremendous goal to accomplish, not to mention silly. Yet, from all the demos I've watched, it looks ridiculously fun, NEVER, have I seen these types of qualities wrapped into one game. So It could be that this is indeed "the shooter". What Doom or Wolfenstein was back in the early 90's for us old timers.
Why would a corportation put all their guns up front to fight the war at once? Example, GTA right now? Its just stupid and unstrategic. Why would they, it would be like having sex with a girl who has just played meat soccer with 15 other big boys after a 2 - 4 of Lager. Whats the point, your going to rush into that big sloppy mess and get a few thrills (in Rockstars and Take 2's case, a few bucks, but with ☺☺☺☺☺ing). Or, your could wait it out, circle the bed two three four times, let the audience get good and hungry for that pounding and then . . . . . bring it!!! And next spring, when our wallets aren't empty from all these awesome games this year, and we are waiting to see, what is next, GTA 4 will be the one, and maybe, a announcement for Bioshock 2. You guys know I'm right, join in with a boo ya!!![]()
i just wished it came out earlier i start college 27th =[ 6 days of bioshock so it better not be delayed =[
I think we would have heard by now if was being delayed
i seriously doubt they'd delay it at this point...so basically we're playing the waiting game til the 21st
my school starts classes the 9th, though, so i'm screwed :/
It is only GTA IV that is getting delayed
