Im probably going to use the wrench for just about every encounter, ever, just because Im a miser. Is anyone else going to do likewise?

No...![]()
In BioShock, if you horde ammo, you wont find a lot of ammo.
It's a long story...
In System Shock 2, I always used the wrench as much as possible because ammo was so scarce.
In Bioshock I'll probably do the same, but it all depends on how the spawning system works. If the game decides to put less ammo in a level because it sees you're doing so well with the wrench, I might ease up a bit and use other weapons so the game provides more ammo. Provided that's how the game works.
*sigh*
Ken Levine has stated that the game will not reward you for wasting you ammo shooting bottles.
If you waste your ammo, or horde it, you won't find a lot of ammo.
However, if you use your ammo wisely, you will find a lot of it lying around.
Items respawn, in a sense.
This game seems to train you to invent creative uses for your resourses.
I said *sigh* because Da Bubs and I went into large detail on a thread that i can not remember the name of. If I could remember the name of it, I could redirect you to it.
That kind of sucks. I love hoarding my stuff, its how I play. I figure if you save as much as possible, you're using it wisely.
It's a combination between saving and spending.
I'm not entirely dure about it, I am just going off of memory. So I may be very, very wrong.
Nias your synopsis is just fine. Short and sweet. I do remember Ken saying something along those lines and I remember the thread. Although, like you, I can't remember the title either.
Its not that I save everything to the end, Im just a hoarder by nature. When the jig is up and I'm surrounded by 7 guys, its time for a shotgun. But if its just 1-4 guys, it's wrench time.
Just remember crazy splicers are like crazy druggies. Each one might be the equivalent of 2 or more people in one. With all the various plasmids at their disposal (remember they have the same advantages you do and they are more experienced at plasmid use) you might find it very difficult even with just one splicer. Although if you play on easy you might skate through.
As long as you can dodge their attacks (they seem to be the big, flashy kind which were to be dodge), and do fancy maneuvers (like in SS2), you can get the better of them. Though, later, when they really start to use their plasmids, I'm getting out mah pistol and electrobolt![]()
ill probably just use the wrench sometimes, im more of a small -arms type of guy, so the revolver will probably be my main weapons of choice.
True, they don't seem very coordinated with each other when they attack you. If they planned an attack effectively then we would be in deep do-do (coordinated plasmid use - scary). Then again maybe we are only seeing the "easier" splicer attacks. It is possible that some splicers will work together more efficiently and be more sneaky. Perhaps as the difficulty levels go up we'll get stronger and smarter foes.
Hurry up 8/21!![]()
Yeah, Im pretty sure I would have to abandon my wrench if they start working together and making complex plans.
