    My Cardboard Big Daddy

Sorry but posted this whole thing from my iPhone so Im sorry for the problems with this post. Also, don't mind the date; we used my girlfriends little sisters digital camera and she just never got around to setting the time.

I love these forums and wanted to pay my respect by showing you guys what me and my girlfriends siblings did this Halloween. So we decided as a big group that we wanted to be characters from Bioshock, and I wanted to be the big Daddy. The costume came together real well and held together all night until I started to sweat in it and the hot glue lost its bond in some areas. Here's the big daddy unpainted:

After I put paper mâché over all the seams of cardboard, it became real sturdy so I painted it with this spray paint that looked like hammered metal. Then I rigged some LEDs together in a series using two 9volt batteries and a 150ohm resister so the whole thing didn't burst into flames (but would probably looked really cool). Meanwhile my girlfriend was putting together her little sister costume using a purple dress she found at goodwill and a fuel pump handle I found on eBay. I have to say she looks amazing as a little sister. Her actual little sister wanted to be a little sister as well (green dress) and her other sister + boyfriend chose to be splicers. Here some pictures:

Over all the whole evening was a lot of fun. At one point we got in trouble with the police because we were creating too much traffic with people taking our photos. Throughout the night, the majority of people knew who I was while some people called me a transformer, wall-e, and even "a fifth element". Lots of fun and ready for next year but with a much smaller costume.

Very cool. The cardboard BD is a real work of art.

And the gaggle of supporting characters all look very good, too. Thanks for sharing!

Whaaa? Wow! That's amazing! And out of cardboard? Well, I guess that would keep it light, unlike other costumes made out of metal... And it looks great!
    Final verdict:
    10/10
