Abandoning a Colony

Has anyone been able to abandon a colony? I'm trying to abandon a colony by removing the lone colonist from a production square into the 'outside of colony area' but I don't get any options (just 'Never Mind') when I try to drop him. Is this possible?

Well if you have a stockade in the town i do believe it is impossible to abandon it.. but i recall that is colonization only.. so i can't say.. haven't gotten this one yet, been having too much fun with another game :P

Hey how much time need to complete one scenario ? I think ~4 hours

It seems that you can't abandon a colony at all, which really screws up the strategy of having multiple 'feeder' colonies channeling resources to the bigger ones. Makes defending your colonies during war/revolution much more difficult.
