Any chance to run Bioshock uncensored?

Hi, I'm from Germany and soon a 39 Yr old Guy.
However, theres 1 thing I realy hate here, we had to play Games with 18+ rating censored.

I think I'm old enough to decide by myself if I want to play a Game censored or uncensored, but there's no way to buy thm here.

Now my Question, is there a way to uncesore my censored Edition again?

Please feel free to Contact me via ICQ or PN, because there can also be non adult europeans here and I don't want to get them solving of this Problem.

You could always import the North American version. The PS3 is region free after all.

It is unfortunate Euros have such a hard line on censoring violence, but I applaud you for your laissez faire approach to nudity!

It's only Germany that has laws on graphic violence in games, anywhere (I think) else in Europe it's fair game but thank you Kyburg for lumping us all together . You could import a different European version which should (but I don't know for certain) include German as a language. The German version will be designed so that there is no easy way of re-enabling gore etc. so buying a different version is probably your only option.

Whats the difference between the uncensored and censored? I know that sounds silly, and obvious, but has all language/violence and...anything else been taken out?

German law prohibits games displaying graphic violence on humans or human-like characters. I don't know how it is specifically for Bioshock, but I know that the censored version of Half-Life 2, the blood is greatly reduced and coloured grey and bodies 'fade away' after death, language is fine. They even want the law applied throughout the EU, but I'm fairly certain that won't happen.

Just import it, that's what a lot of people do when this happens.

PS3 is region free and since HD is a set standard (unlike crazy NTSC and PAL - unless I'm mistaken) you should be fine.
