Thanks for the correction I'll fix that. But if that's a Pontiac rather then a Chevy, There's NO BEL-AIR! Too bad.... Well, thanks anyway.

Talkin' about motorcycle, I love 1941 Crocker and Harley Davidson XA. 1941 Crocker was a powerful V-twin road motorcycle from 40s era. Whereas Harley Davidson XA was a flat twin shaft drive motorcycle built for the US Army during World War II. Harley Davidson copied the BMW R71 into this one.

Another motorcycle that I wish for this game is Harley Davidson WLA. Even Russian army like it

Funny, but I'll answer my own question: there's not going to be any Porsches in Mafia II because I remembered EA has a contract with Porsche dating from 1999 or so (when they did NFS: PU) and they (EA) have exclusive privillege to use any Porsche model in their games, so nobody else besides EA can use any of the Porsche models in their games!

They don't make contract with any car company because they choosed to don't exacly copy their models nor use the real names. All cars are based in the real ones, with little changes and a different name like the ones in Mafia I. They'd need to hand a lot of money and contacting time if to do that I think. But the cars are very alike and sometimes they just mix them, taking the bump of one model and exchaging with another's, so there you get almost 2 unnexisting cars.

Botton line: They can have any car. And I think it may be even easier when dealing with old models (MafiaII setting) since they don't "exist" anymore or is out of production, so it may allow them to go closer to the real models without problems then if dealing with today's cars; just guessing tough.

Yeah, you're right, forgot! That's something I don't like about Mafia, it's mostly a realistic game, but the cars are not accurate more than 80%! But I believe 2K Czech that it's very costly to buy licenses! In a way I don't get it because it's good for the car manufacturers too to have their models in games, even because for the simple fact that this means publicity to those car companies!

BTW, if they have a VW Beetle in this game, I'm in heaven!

  33. #33
It's nice to see someone is as much concerned about the cars used in Mafia II as I am. Too bad the pics are all gone now. But Personally, I'm afraid to judge all the cars as one certain model year and brand, as since Mafia I the cars are often mixes of 2 model years in one or sometimes 2 brands from one of major manufacturers.

And a 1954 Pontiac Tempest ? First Tempests were 1961 if I remember right.
