Just wondering how I can be a promising member one day and be a blank slate the next (reputation rating)..???

No idea I just hold my cursor over my green dot thing and that's what it says.....

When I click on the scale thing it says I have 6 rep. points... But you would think a blank slate is worst than a promising member...?

LOL, I think they are punishing me for pointing out the Legion that spawns in mid air!![]()

Under userCP you can see what reputation you've received and for what posts. Also moving this to off-topic.
Yeah, its to see who has been naughty and whos been nice
Well, this is interesting Out of 5 posts that received a rep point, 2 of them are grey. Clcking on their balance I get "Your reputation on this post is even". Is it really possibile that after so many posts 2 got both 1 negative AND 1 positive reputation? That would be the story of my life. they either love me or hate me. HAHAHAHA! (sorry)![]()
Rep lets you give feedback to your peers. If someone has a history of being very helpful (or very unhelpful) you can see that via their rep display and decide how much weight to give their post.
Mods were chosen by 2K from among your peers because we've already proven ourselves to be helpful. I personally asked that our rep display be turned off, but that's not an option. So instead we were given some extra points to start. It's just to avoid confusion ("Why are you quoting the rules to me when I have 2 green dots and you only have 1?!", etc). Plus, we all know that people tasked with enforcing the rules aren't automatically popular--just look at police officers.![]()
It honestly isn't a big deal. We've already been approved by the people who's opinion matters the most here--the people who own and run this forum. And our performance is regularly reviewed by those same people. But we do enjoy getting comments (both positive and negative) via the rep system. Feedback is always welcome!
