Secret Message in First Audio Diary?

In the first audio diary in BioShock (New Years Eve Alone/Diane McClintock) is it just me or can you hear in the backround people screaming Long Live Atlas or Atlas Lives

yep, long live Atlas & Death to Ryan...it's a splicer attack on "civilized" society. Things hadn't totally fallen apart at that time & the splicers attacked the New Years Eve party of the "higher" class people still living in Rapture.

Really? I've never heard that in the Diary. I'll listen to it again.

I gotta listen to it again too.. Also, am I the only one who heard some kind of message while Jack is going up the elevator while Atlas is pleading him to rescue his family?

Yea there was a rebellion that night and Diane McClintock was just so lucky (sarcasm sarcasm) to be caught in the middle of it. There's an audio diary later in the game (probably Medical Pavilion) where she talks about how Dr. Steinman was the one who fixed her up, and by the sound of it, she didn't look too pretty (another Picasso job by Steinman, most likely).

thats pretty cool i just noticed it

  8. @Cyber999: I liked that audiodiary. It was funny how she was all like 'he's so sweet... and so interested in my case!' all ignorant and all.

I noticed that on my first listen - it is a fantastic introduction into the realm of the audiodiaries, and it's cool to see it unfurl and find out, actually, who IS Atlas?

Wow.. it amazes me how all these little details in the game exist.

It's just unbelievable how the game story was built and the game has a great depth to it.

    Amazing.

I just played through that part today and didn't hear anything. Maybe you heard the splicer mom or the splicer banging on the door.

That is what makes the game so interesting and makes it such a likable game.

You know i always took those tapes in reverse order - That Diane went to the Doc first then later on went to celebrate. Hmmm
