    Romans

I've been playing online and solo with mostly the Aztecs, but I switched it up to Romans last night and did pretty well. I was wondering what other people thought of the Romans in multiplayer games, why (and if) they're good, and any good strategies.

    Thanks!

dude...search " rome megacity strategy". this has been stated so many times before. most people look down on people who use rome as it is generally considered a "noob" civ.

Having said that I am interested to know if people are still using the mega-city strategy after 10 pop when settlers only add a small amount.

i dont think it will be used as much. they are still overpowered culturaly. 1/2 price wonders is immensly powerful and rome is still one of the best civs even though the megacity strat wont be used as much.

Agreed on the half price wonders in the early ages. I do also find them to be one of the more aggressive AI civs at Diety. They are real island grabbers as well. I have started reserving the islands I want with militia until I am ready to settle there!
