Diety is just too easy I got a 1 city tech victory with Russia and was never challeng

ed. I had only 1 city for the whole game. The game was basically breeze I was basically never challenged. I had only 1 city for the entire game no culture flips or nothing only 1 city for the enitire game.

I now think Russia is one of the best Civs for a 1 city Deity challenege perhaps even the best. The reason is the combination of there starting and ancient bonuses. The combination of local area map, and +1 food from plains(your getting +4 food for food after granery) gives you massive growing protential to get up a mega city fairly quickly.

It seems like a lot of it is just luck.

I started a game trying to get Tech victory with Greece, and it was hard going for a while. Three civs were all attacking me (and I was an idiot and only had three cities) and Lincoln was just sitting out on a big island getting culture and tons of money.

It was the first game on King that I was really challenged. All previous games have been breezes. So I think a lot is just circumstance, where you start, etc.

I have a question about that one city achievement.

Can you flip cities, or have other cities but let them get conquered toward the end so you win with just one?

Or do you have to just have one the entire time?

You can do all that from what I heard. Of course they would allow you to flip cities they cann't ounish you for something that automatically happens in the game.

On Deity I just got instantly reamed at the beginning by Lincoln, he was ahead in everything (and the game hadn't been going that long) and he dropped three Legion armies and two Catapult armies off and demanded a Great Person...

  6. For the one city challenge, you CAN conquer cities, however you must not create and settle settlers outside of your city. So if you create a settler, it must go to another city or be disbanded (why you'd do that, beats me).

I'll be happy to believe you, but to the point:

    - What did you do when you were attacked? Were you attacked at all?

    - How did your technology compare to other civs? Did any of them come close to you in tech? Or other victory methods?

    - When did you win? With just one city, it must have taken a good while to get all those space ship parts built.

    - Did you go for a tech victory to start off with? Did that leave you any gold or such to rush buildings or the like?
