Random Pairings - How Ranked Teams Are

Why can't you arrange to be on the team of your friend if it is ranked?

I'd have thought it would be like Halo's Double Team, in that you join together and are randomly matched with a different pair.

I've tried explaining why it is so many times, but every time I get people complaining back to me about how it is stupid.

I think you should find the explanation somewhere around here. Probably under multiplayer.

Anyway, if you want to pair up with a partner, play unranked.

If they would add another mode where you could add teams (as then it would be the team that was ranked, not the player), you could probably team up with a friend. I doubt that's happening any time soon, though.

It wouldn't be fair to players playing alone to be stuck together against a pre-paired team who knows each other well.

  4. This is a strategy game, not everyone is going to be in a team, which'll effectively mean it'll be one massive civ (two friends) taking on two smaller ones, just because the two massive ones have had time to discuss strategy and can do things a lot more easier... essentially giving them the edge. Slightly different in a FPS such as Halo...

their obviously going to change it. you cant ban teams in a team game. they obviously just messed up the settings somehow. they will fix this fault in no time.
