    Why?:(

It was around 1500 AD and I was ready to built a world bank. I had 16 turns and I switched to all production. When my friends realized I was building they rushed me with knights and cannons but failed to break through as I had about 14 untis in my capital. As the turns we going by to 15 14 13 etc at one point I noticed I once again had 16 turns left, it all reset completely. So I noticed one of their sarmies we occupying one of my production squares which I surrounded with my armies and eventually forced out.I thought okay maybe because of this it reset so I had all my armies occpy all my producion squares and the world bank started getting built again as I had less and less turns to built it . However as I was halfway there it once again reset! All my armies we in all my produtions quares and they did not steal any great people from my capital. I don't understand how this happened. Can someone explain?

Sounds like someone was hitting you with spies. Spies can disrupt production on whatever is being built, disruptting production makes all work towards that unit/building be destoried.

So I guess what happened was your defenses were to great because you said you held them off. So then they found a new way to beat you. To defend yourself from spies you need to build spies of your own. A spy ring(3 spies in an army) that if fortified(spies can fortify) with walls(they get boosts from walls) is basically impossible to get past.

I see! Thanks. I jdid have many spy rings but I remeber losoing a few in a row to theirs.(mines were veteran plus walls but it's ok). I was watching TV waiting for the turns to finish and didn't realize they were putting in spy rings(was pressing end turns so I am not an ******* to make the wait a minute for my turn). When I stopped watching TV it was too late and I had to quit. I wonder if they won again teh CPU. Hmm

    Thanks again, great tip!

Hmm, spy rings with walls and vetern have 7.5 defense or something like that. A spy ring attacking has 4.5 from what I've seen. The odds should have been in your favor esspcially if you had multiple rings in that town.

Would multiple spy rings help more than a single one? I think that the attacker only needs to beat one of them to do its stuff.
If you've got several he wouldn't be able to send in several after the first one succeeds (because you'll have a new one taking over). Other than that, as long as the attacker beats the defender, it doesn't matter whether there are 100 spy rings left in the city.

edit: Also 7.5 against 4.5 isn't THAT much of a difference, you are bound to lose once in a while.
