Dear 2K...

I am a big fan of civilization, having owned the majority of games on the PC, and irrefutably enjoy the latest instalment in the series, 'Civilization Revolution' - the pragmatics of both 'Game of the week' and online leader boards act merely to heighten the experience of Civ and add a much needed capability of unashamed boasting to the serious.

HOWEVER, i currently find myself in only the top 400 of free-for-all leader boards, as constant freezing and hanging issues PLAGUE the online free-for-all experiance. In my most recent encounter of an abrupt ending, i was TWO turns away from building a World Bank and winning a 2-and-1/2 hour marathon of a game simply for my xbox to hang and for me to be shamed by an undeserved loss. Once i reset my xbox i spoke to 'Durex gr', whom informed me that i had quit out of the game and he had won... To be honest, if this was a rare event i wouldn't mind, but it is a regular occurrence, with around 50% of my games ending not by defeat or victory, but by the infuriating freezing of my machine.

Whilst possessing a full and adequate social life, its still nice to be able to compete with ones contemporaries on such a game, without being robbed of statistics and animations of dancing boats due primarily to fundamental issues in programming and compatibility.

I see it as 2K's responsibility to address this issue and to work at fixing this problem before releasing any DLC, or a next installment in their basketball serious. If i am willing to 'fork out' 40 pounds buying such a game, i expect 2K to provide a game which lives up to its promises and deliver a package which works... The very fact that i have had to write this message merely epitomises how much of a fundamental problems this is, and how frustratingly occurring it has become.

Since i had to take 30 minutes out to register and write this (not that it will be ever read/addressed) i would like to suggest three further amendments to be made

1. Deity be true too Civ form... i.e. HARD!!! - the AI of the game is far too simple, and should be made more intelligent not by simply attacking you more frequently, but by responding to your actions in a pragmatic way
2. In RANKED TEAM GAMES, allow PAIRING UP!!! - whats the point of team games if you cant go in with a friend. Me and my mate spend hours simply searching for a game were both in, only to quit because we are put on different teams. Allow both pairing up and team choice... if only to save the sanity of people who actually have friends online
3. Adjust game of the week - it frustrates me that every week two very frustrating fools ruin game of the week by simply mapping out each world, and finding the quickest route to each enemy capital. Wheres the innovation, the adaptability, the skill ?? I believe that 'game of the week' maps should be made with these leader board-polluters in mind... so that people who actually attempt a skilled and dynamic victory actually have a chance of breaking into the top 5

this happens to me all the time. yesterday i was 1 turn away from completing the U.N. when it froze. but your complaint wont matter. so many people have already complained about this that either 2K is already working on it or they just dont give a ****. best of luck to ya
