    Smile German Strategy?

Suppose you are playing as the Germans. Early on, you gain three elite warriors with different promotions. Which is better: To combine all three into a super-duper army with three upgrades; or make three other armies that only have one promotion each. Thanks for your responses.

Oppss...This probally should be in the strategy formum, but....too late. Sorry.

They have only a good bonus I think, +1 production each forest. It make them to be as hills without buildings. The elite thing is good only if you build at the beginning warriors and they become elites, I think.

i prefer to make 3 seperate elite armies. my reason being that your army can be super duper and still lose to a lesser unit.

Now I quote you. It could be good to have ninja, blitz and medic armies. 1 kill the best unit, the second kill 2 others and the medic retreat to make damage while there is the new update 1.20

However barracks 1/2 could be good, but not so much because it's better 1/2 cost of libraries

  6. Personally what I tend to do is try to give three warriors (or really any unit) 6 wins ASAP (or 3 if theres a barrack in the city they were built in) and then combine them. Reason for this is that a unit with say Infiltration and Blitz is far more usefull then two seperate units with Infiltration and Blitz. The blitz unit may die and this it's two attacks in a turn becomes useless, and the infiltration unit will only attack and may not take over the city, giving the opposing civ the chance to recouperate.

Blitz + Infiltration means you can attack with more damage and take the city over that very same turn (Artilleries and other seige units only take over a city if there is an overrun. You can have a situation where you attack a city, you destroy the last unit in there, but you'll have to wait to the next turn to take it over - which is why blitz is a good idea since the AI on Deity usually produces a defending unit by then.

not exactly sure what you mean by this. yes, it is possible to lose to a weaker unit. it is not PROBABLE, but possible. if you are reffering to the zulu strat mentioned in other threads, then once again, the same can be said of your super duper horseman.

if i am wrong and this isnt what you meant, then please explain it to me.
