Can Multiplay in PS3 Demo, Not in Full Version?

I'm hoping this post helps, as I've noticed something with the PS3 online play that I haven't seen mentioned here yet.

Before Civ:Rev came out in the US, I played the demo a lot on the PS3 and was able to connect to another player in multiplayer about 80% of the time. When I got the full version the other day, I wasn't able to find anyone to multiplay with, no matter what option I chose (whether it be custom match, ranked match, unranked match, any game type and any timer type).

I'm not able to see any rooms at all in multiplayer as well. I downloaded the 1.10 patch yesterday and I still have the same problem. Haven't been able to find any players/rooms since launch day.

I noticed the leaderboards are full of people, and am wondering where the heck all these people are? Is this a known problem for PS3 owners? I would've assumed the 1.10 patch was to fix this, but I guess 1.10 was for other things. I noticed a lot of threads stating the same thing, but am unsure if its just our terrible luck in not being able to find players or if it is a known issue.

I'm a Civ player from the very first game and I'd be disappointed if I had to go back to Civ 4 in order to play online again .
