Some things Missing?

Ive been playing civ since I was 12 and absolutely love the series. Revolution has a lot of the same endearing qualities! Where is the ability to customize? You used to be able to change world size, land mass size, and world age. Maybe its just me but the world seems a little small in this game. The Game play is still great, but i beat a game in 2-3 hours which used to take me a lot longer.

They said that they wanted the game to be quick & fast paced.
I mean, seriously, you can't beat everyone if they are around the entire map?

That would takes hours upon hours. (Even some save time )

i can definitely understand the need to speed things up for the console edition, and over all it is still really fun to play, just wish there was an option for those of us who liked to work the same game for a week or so
