seems weird.....
seems weird.....
Naval units are not the same as ground units. Naval units provide support to the ground unit as it's attacking, which is why there are no upgrades for naval units. The ground units get the upgrades.
yes but they also attack each other.......they should upgrade.....maybe via update they will add this.....
Upgrade as in promotions, or like in leonardo's workshop?
He means Promotions. Naval units (stupidly actually) don't even get Veteran Promotions unless they were built by a city with a barrack. Quite stupid if you ask me, but hey, who am I to argue... it's just how it is I guess...
yup i agree, and yes that is what i meant krash
I can think of all kinds of cool upgrades for naval and air units
needs to be fixed...
Agreed, I'd like abilities where bombers or fighters can last more than one turn without going into a city... or with ships the ability to 'bombard' ground units![]()
Well at least they should either remove naval units veteran promotion from barracks or allow it to be earned in combat.
First they need to fix the submarine. Anyone find any use of submarine yet?
1. It's not invisible to the enemy.
2. It moves only 2 tile per turn.
3. Damage is not insanely high and its defense is just horrible.
Yeah, they definitely need to fix the submarine. It's designed to sink cruisers and earlier vessels, but because it moves only two squares, a cruiser can spot a submarine easily and can either just flee the vicinity with more than twice the momentum, or just outright sink the submarine since it has laughable defense.
Submarines don't even come close to standing up to a battleship, and that's just not right. Submarines are arguably the most useless unit in the game. A galleon has a 50/50 chance of sinking a submarine if it initiates combat, can carry people, and moves faster. Submarines may be cheap to produce, but that two tile movement speed is crippling.
Edit: It may also be worth considering however, that you can build a submarine fleet for 75 resources while a single battleship costs 80 resources, for whatever it's worth. I think if they made subs have one more movement, it'd make a world of difference and I'd actually consider making them.
