    Question Farthest Tech In Demo?

I was just wondering how far everyone has gotten as far as technology in the demo.

Playing online with my friend, we were able to reach FLIGHT using the Great University wonder.

Without that wonder, we still managed to get Railroad, Steam Power, Printing Press, a few others, I forget.

(This is with sharing technologies, though it didn't seem to make THAT much of a difference because I got Railroad on my own, and almost Steel.)

I played Egyptians, he plays Romans.

I feel like we are the first, if not two of the few who managed to reach this column of technology. As it clearly says "Buy the full game to gain access to this technology."

I read a while ago someone gave a challenge to the forums for the demo to reach the column with Metallurgy and whatever else in it, and I'd like to say to that person "you've been trumped."

I know that this also involve a good deal of luck with great people, etc. But it's very do-able. As I said, I reached Railroad by myself as Egyptians, he also accomplished this solo as Romans.

I had about 5 or 6 cities when I reached Railroad solo and almost Steel, I was producing around 183 science per turn.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has gotten this far, farther, or what.

I think the fact that we reached Flight is pretty significant.

The tier you need to buy the game for is the one with communism, flight etc, but the techs are all in the demo and can be reached with the oxford university. Personally the farthest i've gotten is advanced flight (oxford) and I must say bombers are awesome

PS I think I was getting like 500 science per turn lol. This was with the mega city strategy using the romans.

WELL with the romans and handicap 40% i managed to reach every technology available in the demo around 500-700 ac....

    and
    conquest
    economic
    and cultural victories......before 900 ac

and by 1250 i have arround 30-50 cities 1 mega city lv 31 and some other like 10-17 lv and (if the ai or a skilled player dont have first) all the wonders

in my last game producing 3300 gold, 1600 cience and 1100 culture per turn at the same time in diferent cities and in the score im better than Winston churchil LOL

    everything in multiplayer demo

culture is easy some times i have 23/20 in the culture victory column...

Ive gotten each of the techs, including Flight, Adv Flight, and the Nuke, and then with a few Great Scientists I finished off Future Tech twice (gave me nothing)
