Q: How do I know if the DLC offer is packed in?
A: There will be a sticker on the front of the package calling out the DLC offer.

Q: How do I get the poster at Circuit City?
A: Supplies of the poster are very limited. Please see the store manager if you do not receive the poster upon receipt of the game to ensure all posters were distributed. The posters are not packed in. The gift with purchase for the poster is available for all three platforms.

Q: When will the DLC content be available for download?
A: The DLC content is planned for release later this month (July). Please keep an eye on this website and www.2kgames.com/civredeem

Q: If I don't get the content at these retailers, will I be able to get it somewhere else?
A: Yes, all DLC content will be available for purchase on PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace in early fall.

What do all these new artifacts and wonders do?

Glad you asked! Here's the rundown:

WONDERS
Lighthouse of Alexandria - your Galleys will be able to sail into open water
Colosseum - your units will upgrade faster
Trajan's Column - your Legion units all receive +1 attack
Leaning Tower of Pisa - you receive a larger cut of the profits when enemy Caravans arrive in your cities
Taj Mahal - all building produce +1 culture
University of Sankore - desert regions provide +1 trade
Scotland Yard - your great people cannot be kidnapped by enemy spies
Statue of Liberty - all cities in your civilization immediately receive two free population
Eiffel Tower - all buildings provide +1 science
SETI - your spaceship will travel faster
Sydney Opera House - settled Great Artists double the culture production of their resident city
Cristo Redentor - Cathedral buildings will prevent your cities from flipping


RELICS
Court of Camelot - all your Horsemen units will immediately be upgraded to Knights
Tower of Babel - you will instantly be put in contact with all the nations of the world
Terracotta Army - all your soldiers receive the Scout upgrade
The Sphinx - you can immediately choose to switch to any government type

people who get these tokens will have them activate in a couple weeks, and you'll use the website i posted to do so.

people who do not get the content with their purchase will have to wait to buy it separately sometime later this fall.

Finally! I knew something like this would happen, US players get extra content! Why couldn't we get this gift when pre-ordering in the Europe? ...So we have to buy them all now..? Would you mind treating the Europeans equally..?

Btw, in Halo 3, the only playlist you can't play without purchasing the map-pack is the playlist which runs those maps only... So I wouldn't say you have to buy all the DLC...

Because we got the game early. You should have waited a month to get the game and then had it shipped it from the US.

A) I already have the EU version of the game
B) If I get it from one of these stores and get the free gift, I can't get the others because I don't have a US based Credit Card, which means I'm screwed for the other add-ons.

EU/AUS/NZ should get the additional DLC on the same day or very close to it (sometimes there are minor difference in QA between the territories) as the US territories.

I got my game from best buy usa. I didn't notice any sticker in it or redeemable code at all.. Perhaps im not looking in the right area but i see nothing inside except the game and the manual.. It was the whole reason why I got it at best buy...

I just received my preordered copy from Gamestop.com and included in the package was a card telling me to go to www.2kgames.com/civredeem. I did this and got a error 404 telling me the page doesn't exist.

I then found my way here only to discover that the download isn't available yet.

How unprofessional! The least 2kGames could do is place a temporary page at www.2kgames.com/civredeem to tell me, and others like me, that the downloads will be available at a later date. I thought I was entering the address wrong. There will be other customers that won't have a clue what is wrong.

I purchased the last copy from a Gamestop store in Fullerton, CA. The copy was sold as new but was a display copy and the shrink wrap was already removed. After reading this fourm, I went back to the store to see if I could get the card or sticker on the shrink wrap but they do not have it. I called gamestop's customer service but they said only the store or 2kgames could help me. What are my options to get this gift code?

so why couldn't you do it on the 360 then? so i couldn't use the code on my system and then after i got it take it over to my friends house the code i mean and have him use the same code i have on the 360? to have him use it on his? so in other words we can use the same code even though it would be two different xobx 360's?

Each Code can only be used ONCE. And so you can only activate it on ONE account. I'm fairly sure that with the X360 the downloads are linked to the XBOX Account (I don't have one myself so not sure), but if that wasn't the case, wouldn't EVERYONE just download the downloads once and go to their friends house and download it onto their account.. that way if you have 10 friends with XBOX's, you only need to get the download once and each of you can have it - that obviously isn't right, so I'm sure that they will have made the downloads either Console Dependant (so will only work on the Console that you baught it on) or Account Dependant.

How do the other Downloadable Content on XBOX360 work? It will work in the exact same way.


I've gotten a free code before on the Playstation 3 from Capcom who sent me a game that was available on the PSN and that game I could download 5 times and use on any account (and all for free). Additional Content for the PS3 is usually in the same way except for big name games as I mentioned before.

the code is only usable once. so don't give it to your friend. you won't be able to use it after it's used once.

That is disappointing since I have tried but they are all sold out of the PS3s in SoCal. Are the XBOX codes and PS3 codes the same? Meaning can I use a XBOX code to download from PSN (most likely not but just checking)?
