apparantly best buy is advertising exclusive content for civ revolution including a new artifact and a new wonder...

will this be available on the marketplace, or do i have to cancel my gamestop preorder and go to best buy?

i just want to make sure i can get all the content.

i would imagine for mp purposes it would HAVE to be made available to everyone but i just wanted to see what the deal was...

is it going ot be dlc or what?

any info would be greatly appreciated o i know where to buy the game this week!

I just noticed a new 1.0.1 update (35 MB) for Civ Rev...I'm downloading it now, will post if I notice anything new.

ETA: nope, no new wonders or artifacts in this update...maybe it's just a patch to warn the player when there's an inevitable mp version mismatch. :-/

I don't think a shop can have exclusive rights on artifacts and wonders, most likely it will become available for the rest of us for a small cost.

However, part of that arrangement is that the retailers (stores) are the ones who get to announce their Gift With Purchases, as it is special to them. There are 4 stores with Gift With Purchases, each with a different gift. Please check with your stores and/or read the Sunday ads as that will be where you'll find the info right now. Elizabeth will be on (tomorrow or Tuesday, we are off work Monday for the holiday still), to announce the full list here, but for today we are letting the stores do the announcing.

I can tell you that each store is different, and that each gift is awesome (I helped put together the downloadable content packs, and you guys have seen the poster). There is more downloadable content coming in the next 3 months that everyone will be able to get.

AND, we know that if you pre-order it at Best Buy, you can get free

But, what that good gentlemen was asking, is EVERYONE who pre-ordered
the game is going to get it, (doesn't matter which store? if not, tell us, please)

As we've tried state: This is not a PREORDER gift. This is a Gift with Purchase. Each retailer who is participating will have a box with a special sticker on it for their Gift. Each participating retailer has a different gift. So look for the box with the sticker.

Check with your favorite store and their Sunday ad to see what they are advertising, or wait until 2K Elizabeth gets a chance to post the full run down on later this week.
