Multiplayer Types

I'm a new fan of civilization(rev is my first one ever played), I have a queston about the multiplayer types,other than xbox live(which I have)is there any other types of multiplayer activity such as a Local game with people in the same room or a system link game.

right now system link and XBL are the only multiplayer types available...there's a lot of people asking for split screen multiplayer, but I have no idea whether that will happen or not.

Hello everyone. I know only a little about Civilization Revolution. I do know that they will be having tons of online game types. Like Attack of the huns you can kinda guess what this game mode or scenario is about. Or Beta Centauri or Golden Age,Lighting Round and many more. The way I learned some of this is by watching the behind the scenes for this game with Sid M. If you pause at the right moment you will stop at a list of scenarios they are adding. I am sorry if this isn't the right answer you wanted but in return I also have a quetion. I am not sure if this is already posted or not but I am new to the forums and also new to Civilization games.(This is my first one) I want to know if you make a game from lets say in the B.C. age will it end once you reach a certain age? That might just be the demo but I really want to know before I go out and buy this game. This game needs offline-multiplayer on just one system, badly.

I own all CIV games and because of this missing feature "Revolution" is the worst of it's series.
