    Favorite weapons and killing techniques

Personally, my favorite is the proximity mines. The game level designers have a tendency of setting you up by making enemies appear in areas behind you that you've already walked through. Whenever I enter an area where I know I'll have to come back through, I set up proximity mines ahead of time. Try to surprise ME? Take THAT, @*@*!!.

I love the freeze gun in the early levels, but when the monsters get enough HPs that they don't shatter instantly, it loses it's effectiveness.

On a related note, on the Fort Frolic level, I killed the boss very easily this way:

    (minor spoiler)
Right before putting in the last photo which causes him to come down the stairs in "splendor", I put several proximity mines along the staircase. Predictably, he walks into every one of them :-)

    SPOILER -

if you kill Cohen when you first meet him, you lose the chance to get an extra Power to the People machine. Not that you would really need it. but...is really a lot better than what you get if you kill him there...

    Still, pretty cool!

Do not kill Cohen in Fort Frolic!!! If you do you won't be able to access a room in his apartment that has a PttP station in it.

I really love hacking turretts and security cameras... for the same reason you like proxy mines.

Nothing better than hacking turretts, clearing a room, moveing on, then hearing two rooms behind you the turretts opening up on the respawned splicers that would have made your day annoying as you had to move back through that area.

That, and the first technique you learn from Atlas.

"The one-two punch... remember, the one-two punch!"

I love zapping with electrobolt, switching to the revolver, then leasurely putting the muzzle to their foreheads and pulling the trigger.

And in the higher levels where one bullet dosent cut it, giving them a face full of buckshot as they stand there helpless, convulseing with electricity.

Yeah... I'm not sadistic when I play videogames... >.>

    Wrench man

Actually I changed up my default weapons and killing methods for each game I played through. I loved the wrench but man you can power it up so much it makes the slaughtering a bit too easy. Also the electric plasmid along with electric flesh and buck shot make BD killing almost sad
I need to play through again just using weapons with no plasmids or vice versa.

Before the game came out I had always had 1 plasmid combo in mind, even though i knew it would be incredibly hard to do and deal with in such a big game. I had always wanted to freeze someone, then light them on fire and when the ice melts you electobolt the water and then wrench the splicer!

My favorite weapon has to be the ol' faithful Shotgun, its even better when its fully upgraded.
Favorite Plasmid is tricky as there are so many good ones in there to choose from, I really can't pick one that I would rate above the others.

For some reason I just love the Revolver. Even though some may consider it a weaker weapon when fully upgraded and with anti-personal rounds it can be deadly.

Second up has to the Crossbow, 1 shot kills and reload glitch ftw!

Third is Telekinesis. It's just fun to play around with and can be super effective with the exploding objects.

  10. Since the moment I got him, Jimbo, my shotgun, and I have always been together. I rarely, if ever, use anything else.
That is, if I have the ammo for him.
Going through Hephaestis, I had next to no ammo for ANYTHING. I had plasmids and my wrench. It made me sad and frightened and alone.
But then I got past it and me and Jimbo were allowed kick some splicer ass once more.
