Can't build World Bank!! *XBOX 360*

I choose to play as the Arabs, since i've never played as them before, and i wanted to go after an economic victory on KING diffulcty..

So im at year 2030.. i have 20.000 gold and got the message that i now can build the world bank.

But i cant find it under Wonders

Why?

wonders are unlocked when you get new technologies.... i'm guessing something like the corporation opens up the world bank... sure someone can correct me on that...

so maybe you need to develop a few more technologies....

because i dont have a lot of technologies...


BTW. a small side questions: What civ is best for the economic win?

You should be able to build it no matter what you've researched. As long as your gold is over 20,000. Are you sure it's not off the bottom of the build list?

It's not a building, it should be at the bottom of the 'Great Wonders' list if anything.

no problems with world bank here... shud be there somewhere no matter what techs you have

I saved the game before i had 20.000

It takes one turn to register ... although it appears it has with yours... try scrolling down the Wonder list, otherwise you have a bug.

Just the past couple games I have played, I haven't been able to build the World Bank.

She comes up and says I can, but it isnt in the list. When I look at my progress it even says 34508/20000, on the progess.

Certain Scenarios don't allow you to build it

I don't play scenarios, this was happening in any Single Player game I would play. I finally did the clearing you cache of the hard drive and redownloaded the 1.3 patch and everything is working fine now.

I've had this issue on PS3 as well.

though, it was in a game where I crossed both the cultural and econ limits at the same time. I gained ~7 k gold in the one turn, which meant that I crossed the last few boundaries in one shot. I waited a few turns, was up to 33 k gold or so but couldn't build the world bank. ended up just building the UN to finish the game.
