This game encourage defense > offense?

Ya that's the last age, like i mentioned before. I do attack but not to the point of really aggresive throughout the whole game. For defender, they have cruiser or sometimes battleship. With a wall...it's pretty hard to penetrate.

I will play technology first then branch out from there (tech; domin; econ; culture), by playing tech means defending.

I have yet to fight a player who is really good at dominating at the very beginning of the game (not rushing tank at the end). I would love to meet one, because that surely will open my eyes & i can improve upon my strategy.

PS : btw, i just play a top 9 players. Man, this is the first i met someone who is good at playing economy victory. Luckily I finished my nuke in time before his world bank contstruction

I can play as domination, but i'm not sure of that strategy, but, it's very very very very fast and if it doesn't work i can build tanks very fast because sure i've blocked my enemy. More than my strategy of greeks (in last game i was closed but whatever i was going to conquer russia and settle near you, but the game disconnected
Last game using my domination strategy i took Mosca (was vs Terreur88), i cloed him on his capital, i had about 10 cities, he only 1, and about half of the game he took using a Great Artist, Samarcanda (mongol's city), but i was going to have in all cities libraries and barracks, and was going to produce a lot of tanks, but he dropped.
Yesterday i was trying montezuma on deity, it's good for temples (+3 science) and heal troops. He can't die for a lot of attacks if he has good troops. I killed my first city in that game with a warriors army, attacking japan. I didn't need to heal nothing, so, i killed them so fast. And i have more research than others, maybe for temples (temple + library is 6 and university gives 6 more.

Anyway GG, you win me on the first round. I was struggling badly with other AI player as you can see i keep losing my city That slows me down alot because i invest alot in that city.

The second round i was so excited to meet you again, too bad you got disconnected. Otherwise i could have put my "improved" strategy to test.

Still good win on the first round though, if i don't lose i won't know my mistake.


edit : i just lost another one because i move my pikemen out of the city. AI just ran over me....shucks. -_- Man, two of my lost are due to AI....very embarrassing.

Technically, once to AI. The one against MorteEterna, the AI slow me down alot but is Morte army that nail me to the coffin.

The rest are freezing though, yesterday it even freeze on the loading screen and pressing the guide button doesn't help.
