your in europe im assuming. Look at the top right corner on the game case and tell me if it says PAL. It its not there look on the back and see.

on the uk game sites I'm seeing that PAL in the top right hand corner of the game case. so thats not good for us americans.
I dont know about your TVs but modern flat screens have support for all TV systems.
I have a Samsung LCD TV but I dont think a european xbox game will work on an american system.
Not all games are region locked. I imported Football Manger from England and it plays fine on my American XBOX 360. However, they specifically said it was region free. I am guessing Civ is region locked, and if it is, it will not play on an American XBOX 360 no matter what TV you have.
I called in microsoft and they said not to buy it anywhere online yet because it wont work in america, region locked, they said to just wait til it is released, July 7th or the 8th if your unlucky like me and live in a small hick town.
Why do they have region blocks? it is stupid surely it is thesame game what does it matter if your American and importing it from Europe or your from Europe and importing it from AmericMakes no sense!

Which is annoying for 2 reasons as 1) i really wanted to play it as i have had a tough week of exams ( i also took the Geography GCSE Opie), and cus i'm from england cudn't get the demo!!
And 2) it will probably come tommorow, but that is bad as i won't have time to playit now until about next Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!, which is why i wanted it today!!!
