I always preorder games from gameplay.co.uk because I always (well, let's say 90%) receive games a day before the release day.

Why? I know for a fact that Play were dispatching the game yesterday, in order to allow three days for delivery.
Both Game and Play.com deliver it on the day of release, and rarely on the day before, but not more before the day.
My play.com orders confirmed to be in the post now.
The "problem" is that a lot of plays stuff (if not all?) is shipped from jersey to avoid tax.
Most of the time it works out fine, but a small hickup can lead to a delay. Nothin major, but when it does happen its a bit of a let down.
Same with DVDs from amazon - they use amigo fish or something to reduce the amount of tax they pay - but with them preorders come from the mainlan so its not a problem.
Well, good for you - I have had bad experience with play.com - I'll never preorder from them again.

Every title that I've pre-ordered from Game has arrived the day before the official release date.
For a time I did use shopto.net and I got a few of those orders two days early (the Wednesday) as they post using recorded delivery. The problem being that if you're out at the time of delivery you've got to drive to the sorting office to pick it up. I don't know whether shopto still post early, I've not seen anyone on my friends list playing a title before me in a long time.
I aint ever had a problem wiv them before lol

Guys, i'd highly advise you to switch to game.co.uk. IF you get a Game Card (I believe it's £3 for it), you can start saving a a couple pounds on every game. Last year I had about a £10 saved over a couple years of buying one game, I've bought a few games this year, and already have £5, and after these two games (Civ Rev and MGS4) I should yet again have £10 on the card which I can spend on a game (takes that much off the total price). So essentially for me Civ Rev has been about £28 compared to the £30 usual. You may think that's not much, but get 15 games, then the 16th is free... that's not a bad deal

i suggest you go to a store.
I buy from play or game which ever is cheaper. sometimes game have really stupid prices compared to play so it puts me off. But one thing I like doing at game is going with a friend to game whos buying a new console and giving them my reward card it gets me loads of points. Ugh, I just called my local GAME store here in Sweden and they say they don't get it till June 20:th. WTF!!??? After that I checked all swedish webstores to see if any of them get them on June 13 but no. I'm screwed!!
Guess it's back to the demo then. I've already spent like 20 hours on it. I hate my life right now. My whole weekend is ruined.

1. How is multiplayer online on ps3? (not working like in the demo?)
2. The demo map was really small, are there any bigger maps in the game?
3. Can you chooe the map size the same way like in Civ4?
4. When a game ends (2050) can you decide to play further like in Civ4 or do you have to start a new game?

Just have to finish my work from home (remote connection to work pcs) before I can play. Kinda hard to work with the game and my 360 right next to me hehe.
1) I own Xbox 360 version so I'd not know.
2) Same size but honestly it is big enough for CivRev.
3) No. But if you chose GIGANTIC map, I'm sure PS3 or Xbox 360 could not handle it. Would need huge RAM for that.
4) Dunno - I asked that question but no one answers it yet
The wait is finally over! Just picked up a copy at a local toyshop!!
PS3 version is a Blu Ray disc
Ok and now i'm off to become the greatest ruler the world has ever known!
