What game would you recommend while waiting for Mafia 2?

As for games, if you're into the crime file genre you should widthen your horizon, otherwise you won't like anything else than mafia and godfather (which i suppose you don't ) but:

Reservoir Dogs The Game (but only if you're really desperate)

i sold Chicago 1930 the same day i got it delivered and i never in my life have sold anything , i keep all my stuff to the bitter end, imagine how suckish something has to be for me to sell it.

Have no desire to either, GF 1 was on TV once I watched 5 mins it was slow and boring.

Have you never ever seen godfather? you really have missed something good, they trap this guy in the toll and they take out tommyguns from both sides, at least 6 tommyguns, poor guy never had the chance, first time i played mafia i thought that they would ambush me after the near the gulliano tunnel between little italy and central island(north)

It wasn't that bad, i played it till the end and it was quite enjoyable, thus it's a difficult game.

I hope you don't mean that Gangsters it's better than Chicago 1930 .

Play the first game again Sometimes I do play freeride and still love it. Or load my favorite missions (sometimes it's hard again and I have to keep trying).

I'm a big music fan so it's hard for me to find games as good Mafia. But I also enjoy logical challenges and beautiful pictures/designs, and I was delighted when I found about Adventures Company, especially because of games made from Verne's novels and Agatha Christie's books. I've been playing those. Although, in general, each game lasts for only a week (sometimes 5 days and I only play an hour or two after work), games are also fun and hard enough to give a good fight (to my mind, I mean) and keep things interesting.

A friend told me about "Portal" and I will probably try it.

November?, this year?, where did you hear that, a November release of Mafia 2 is Highly unlikely, they would have started to advertise it already, they haven't, my guess is earliest mid summer 2009.

Gangland sucked. Gangsters 2 was one of the best strategy games I've ever played. Made Man ain't bad but it's too linear. There is a game called Mob Enforcer it's good for killing some time. I've never played Chicago 1930. What is it fps, third person or rts/rpg thing like Gangland?

Ganglang like, but very very poorly made. I would say that Gangsters 2 is the best Mafia strategy game ever. And I am suprised that noone wanted to do something more with it. I would love to see Gangsters III.

Plus, there is Escape from Paradise City now. Not bad, but I'm still not mad about it.

Mafia did not suck. the interviewing and the ending did, and Paulie and Sam dieing but everything else was 100% wake up ad smell the 8 o' Clock coffee

Both were brilliant. (and the other ones I'd recommend are already mentioned).

Too many games to play, but none of which in the same genre as Mafia 2 (besides GTA4). You should try Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, GTA4, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Silent Hunter 4 (if you like the setting, might not be interesting to everyone), Assassin's Creed (although it might get a bit stale, still a very good game), ...

Me, myself, I am currently playing M2TW while waiting for Empire Total War (huge Total War fan), playing GTA4 and a bit of Sim City 4 (for old times sake, societies was **** btw).

If you have GTA4 for xbox360 Lost and Damned looks pretty good. It add new weapons and bikes as well as music with a long additional storyline. I would have tried it out but i got a PS3.
