well im thinking about our old ladder and community from civ 4 they will both split and there is big decision to be made.
wich console you should get or you got allready for civ revolution ?
ps3 owners can play only together same as xbox 360 owners.
xbox360 is just for north america ? and maybe england ?
ps3 is for both europe and north america ? how will leauge work ?
can we compare standings for xbox and ps ?
really...this is not a problem, this is the way it always has been and always will be for consoles. You want to fix that, just tell everyone to drop their PS3 and get a 360 since it has better online support.
and then tell them the ps3 is better for the future
all im saying friends and many ppl that i know from civ4 will not be on same consoles . and maybe microsoft has better internet services wich you pay for it again and xbox 360 just cant stand too much heath .
ps3 internet is free as should be cause you paying internet to provider and you pay for a game then pay to play that game online ?no f way .
then go with your free online service, and tell everyone to pay for the more expensive machine that gives you less online capability and requires you to install the game onto your hard drive in order to get the same performance as I can get on my Xbox 360 without having to install anything.
Just use Firaxis's game-of-the-week to determine the overall champion, once you've got winners of the XB, PS3, and DS. You did forget to include the DS, you know? Tsk-tsk.
Firstly, the PS3 is cheaper than the XBOX360 when you take the relative features of the console into consideration (High-Definition Player, Online, Wi-fi, etc...) and secondly, installing onto harddrive makes it FASTER than an XBOX360, and does NOT EQUAL that of the XBOX360, and with the fact that the Playstation 3 has the ability to upgrade your harddrive in pretty much five minutes, it's not a problem for most.Originally Posted by Thrallia

Thirdly, let's please not turn this thread into yet another PS3 vs XBOX30 thread.
The question was - is it possible to make it cross-platform, the answer is no. Both games run on different codes that aren't compatible with each other. This is true for All games on the consoles, and wont change. If you have friends on a different console, the only thing you can do is hope that they bring out offline multiplayer, and then play with your friends offline.
Nothing compares to player versus player, thats where it all matters.

I don't know :P I haven't been following the official statements about rankings etc. Mainly because I know that I will never be a top player in a game like this so the rankings isn't that much of an issue to me :P But the shortened game-length of CivRev will make multiplayer games be incredibly fun, so maybe ill become addicted and want my rankings tooCooorrrrrrect!
However, that's not an option here, now is it?
