Will the PS3 version support 1080i?

I think this question has been asked before but nobody ever answered it. Since my TV don't have 720p, and it has 1080i this is important for me to know.

I will either be rebuying a 360 or buying a PS3, and weather the PS3 version supports 1080i will probably decide which one. I know more, and more new PS3 games are supporting 1080i and I am hoping that Civ Revolution will too
    .
I really don't want to buy another 360 because its the poorest quality hardware I have ever own, and after mine broke down again in Nov I got rid of it. If the PS3 version doesn't support 1080i I will have no choice to rebuy a 360 again as I am not yet ready to get a new TV.

I asked about the supported resollutions in the official Q&A thread, and that's still the last post in the thread 5 days later lol. It's not even on the first page anymore. I'm in the same boat as you, kinda. I have a smaller (26") 720p tv and a 52" in 1080i tv. I'm never going back to a 360 (sold it for a wii) but I'd love confirmation that I can play CivRev on my big screen in HD. The fact that no one is talking is getting me a bit concerned though...

I have a Wii too, but I am going to be trading it in for either a PS3 or 360 for Civ Rev.

To be honest I don't even know why I bought a Wii for. I guess I just fell for the hype.

I suppose we will just have to wait until the European version is released before we know if the PS3 version supposrts 1080i or not.

I wouldn't say the question is answered 100% yet. I want actual confirmation that the PS3 version is supporting 1080i. They could very well be supporting all resolutions except 1080i.

Finally official confirmation. I'm glad to as I swore I would not rebuy a 360 unless a new model that fixes all the problems comes out.

just as a note, generally when Jason says something, it's official confirmation, since he's the game's producer. the only reason anything we confirm will become unconfirmed is if something changes -- and at this point the game is not going to change, so this stuff is definitely confirmed!

uh...already done...their newest generation of 360's has none of the problems the early ones did.
