Please don't be too defensive, I was praising France. I thought it it clear.

My favorite wonder is the Magna Carta. That is the one I strive for every time in single player.

Assuming I don't have any great people in a city that has the Courthouse (after Magna Carta built) I am estimating I may get culture of at least 10-12 with a population of 5. Consider that is without a temple. The culture will lead to a flipped city from one of the other civs that are close by. Then, factor a temple built or a great person that produces culture and then the other civs go insane. Most of the time I flip that city before they build a wall.
I like playing the French for this.
Then, Hollywood wonder is fun too if there is a wall in other cities.

Hollywood is a monster, i was playing some guy, and i was the culture powerful french, against the germans, and they finished their hollywood wonder, he had a lot of cathedrals in every city, aswell as me, but his was stronger, i build cathedrals, and walls, and made food go faster,

then the greyish color spread through the world....my capital wasnt close to that, just 2 other cities....but then one got flipped, and the other survived on 2 land tiles and 4 water titles...

I've never had the opportunity to use Hollywood wonder, it come so late in the game... would have been fun though... but personally i think it's way to expensive, or walls should be cheaper so that it's getting built more frequently.. Hollywood should have been 400 hammers, and also increase the ability to flip cities by a little something, imo.

I like some of the ancient wonders the most, like the Great Wall or Great Pyramid. But i also like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Once you build it, you're city looks a lot cooler because you get to see this cool garden thing .

Well, assuming you save a great builder, you can instantly build the Hollywood Wonder. I like the fact that it is expensive to build. I usually save one great builder later in the game for either the Internet or Hollywood.

Speaking of the Military-Industrial Complex, what precisely is its benefit? I'm guessing that it reduces needed production by a percentage like the old Police State civic; if so, what percentage does it give?
the magna carta,Apollo program, east Indian company, internet,Leonardo's workshop and Hollywood aren't structures either just representations.

anyway.. u may call the east indian overpowered because of it's huge extra trade it gives or magn carta witch makes u win pretty easy for cultural winning.

just about every wonder has it's huge benefits that can be useful for what stratagie u may like.

It's not nearly as useful as in the previous civilization games. Once built, all of your cities had walls. That was a rockin' wonder.

well i agree on that.once u bould it u can just focus on science and dont have to do anything about DEF but by the time u get an advantage with it some guy discoveres engineering and u find out u wasted 150 hammers on +3 extra culture..i mean the theather and the magna carta cost the same stay longer and have much better effects.

the good thing about focusing on tech is by the time you need defense you will be able to invest in upgraded units instead of wasting on archers. that being said i never consider building it.
